Hoping this all ends up like the Culture, in which case I'll aim for Contact. Until then: in and around startup tech on both sides of the Pacific, helping where I can, scouting, connecting, occasionally diving in or leaving breadcrumbs. I like to pick a macro and focus on a micro: Western and Asian tech, applied to US and Korea. My interest is in humans enabled by computers.
I'm based in the US (Guam, US West), heavily involved in Seoul, with ties here and there. I believe the view is better from the seam between worlds, and pulling from many domains is a quasi existential need. Life is short, and living intentionally is a craft and the whole point.
I write here when an idea is reasonably coherent and has survived enough conversations to deserve a permanent version. Also: recce by fire. Put it out, see who disagrees, find out where they're standing.
